Family Travel: Traveling alone or with other adults can be challenging, but traveling with family including children, especially infants, can be distressing if you are not well prepared.

What preparations do we need to undertake the family travel? The first rule of family traveling still applies: always travel light. My choice of luggage? Backpacks. It gives you a lot of freedom of movement not to mention leaving your hands free to do something else. Backpacking frees you from the need to take taxis which can be very expensive especially with a couple of children in tow. Forget about fashion, just keep it simple. Your back will appreciate it. Next, you need a few “must haves” such as:

Small kettle for boiling water: essential for sterilizing milk bottles, making      coffee and cooking instant noodles.
Colic and fever medicine.
First Aid kit.
Color pencils and paper.
Snacks and candy.
Drinking water.
Waterproof mat for picnics and resting when the children are tired.
Extra mobile phones for the children, in case they get separated from you.
The all important travel guide: don’t leave home without it.

Family traveling with children also persuades you to visit places which you would probably miss. So, rediscover the child in you. Its fun! Lastly, the joy of doing things as a family makes traveling together my only choice. Bon voyage!

How do we organize a family travel and vacation, make it fun, hit as many places as possible without breaking your bank account? Is that even possible? Yes, it is possible. It is all about timing. If you didn’t know that prices drop along with the temperature, now is a good time to consider a cold, cold holiday. While others look forward to summer family travel and holidays, you could save some serious cash by turning things around…having a family travel and vacation during winter time.

Of course, when you organize a family travel and holiday in the winter, it is important to think about getting around – transportation. If there is a large group of you moving around from tourist attraction to tourist attraction, it is wiser to actually get your hands on a good charter bus rental package that services the city that you are visiting. Making and bringing your own snacks to theme parks and stuff could really save you quite a bit of money as well because you know the price of food and drinks in well-known theme parks are way over-priced, anyway. Tuck sandwiches and little snacks into your bag and don’t forget to bring a tumbler of water too to quench the thirst, which is a guarantee, by the way.

Did you know that renting a good mini bus or coach bus for a group trip will save you a fair bit of money for your family travel? No? Now you do. That is because getting around in a cab or train in a group is near impossible. There will be a lot of waiting around and at the end of the day, when you add up the cost, it will add up to much more than renting a charter bus for the family travel.
